Collins Aerospace

Integrated Marketing and Digital Support

Collins Aerospace is a global aerospace and defence technology business providing systems and services for commercial aviation, airports and other aerospace markets. The company was formed in 2018 when United Technologies acquired Rockwell Collins and combined it with UTC Aerospace Systems. Its UK operations include a location in Crawley, close to London Gatwick Airport.

Our Work with Collins Aerospace

Our relationship with Collins Aerospace continued directly from the work we had already been carrying out with ARINC and Rockwell Collins. Following the creation of Collins Aerospace in 2018, we continued supporting the same UK and EMEA marketing team based in Crawley while also working with colleagues in the United States and across Europe.

The work remained broad and ongoing rather than being limited to one website or campaign. We supported the marketing team across website design and development, digital marketing, search engine optimisation, paid advertising and wider marketing production.

An important part of this period was supporting the transition into the Collins Aerospace brand. Existing marketing material and digital assets needed to move into the new identity while ongoing work continued, so our role combined day-to-day production with the practical requirements of a large corporate rebrand.

Projects and Services

Website design and development continued to be an important part of the relationship. We supported digital work around Collins Aerospace’s airport products and services, building on many years of experience working with the same marketing team and the technology portfolio that had previously operated under ARINC and Rockwell Collins.

Collins Aerospace continues to provide airport technology covering areas such as passenger processing and airport operations, including products that retain the ARINC name. This continuity meant that our existing knowledge of the products and their audiences remained useful as the business moved into the Collins Aerospace brand.

Our work also continued across search engine optimisation and paid advertising, alongside wider digital marketing requirements. The relationship extended beyond online activity into marketing collateral, presentation material and other production needed by the internal team.

We worked with colleagues beyond the Crawley office as well, including people in the United States and Europe. This gave the relationship a wider international dimension while the day-to-day connection remained centred on the UK and EMEA marketing operation.

Working with Collins Aerospace

The Collins Aerospace relationship demonstrates how external marketing and digital support can continue through significant changes within a large organisation.

By the time Collins Aerospace was created, we already had years of experience working with the same marketing team and its airport technology portfolio. That existing knowledge meant we could continue supporting ongoing marketing requirements while adapting work to the new corporate identity.

It also meant working within a larger international organisation where different teams and colleagues were involved across several markets. Rather than approaching each requirement as an isolated project, the work formed part of an established long-term relationship with the internal marketing team.

For Sussex Web Designs, this experience is particularly relevant to businesses with their own marketing teams that need additional website, digital or marketing production support without bringing every requirement in-house.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Sussex Web Designs work alongside an established marketing department?2026-08-11T11:37:24+00:00

Yes. Sussex Web Designs can work alongside an established in-house marketing department as an external website and digital resource, adding extra capacity where the internal team needs support. With Collins Aerospace, that meant working directly with the UK and EMEA marketing team in Crawley, while also supporting colleagues in the United States and Europe.

The relationship covered ongoing website work, digital marketing and wider marketing production rather than a single isolated project. This type of support can suit larger organisations that already have internal marketing knowledge but need an experienced external team to help deliver work consistently over time.

Can you support a business during a corporate rebrand?2026-08-11T11:32:41+00:00

Yes. Sussex Web Designs can support businesses through the practical website and marketing work that comes with a corporate rebrand. With Collins Aerospace, this meant helping update existing digital and marketing material as the Rockwell Collins identity moved into the new Collins Aerospace brand, while ongoing marketing activity continued.

For larger organisations, a rebrand often affects far more than the main website. Existing campaign material, presentations, digital assets and wider marketing content may also need to be updated, so external support can help the internal team manage that transition without treating every change as a separate project.

Can Sussex Web Designs work with international marketing teams?2026-08-11T11:30:31+00:00

Yes. Sussex Web Designs can support marketing teams working across different countries and offices, providing website and digital support that fits around the way the organisation already operates. With Collins Aerospace, much of our work was centred on the UK and EMEA marketing team in Crawley, while also involving colleagues in the United States and across Europe.

This type of relationship can suit international businesses that need external support to work alongside several internal stakeholders without treating each market or office as a separate project.

Can you provide long-term website and marketing support?2026-08-11T11:30:40+00:00

Yes. Sussex Web Designs can provide ongoing website and marketing support for businesses that need more than a one-off project. With Collins Aerospace, our involvement continued over several years, supporting recurring website, digital marketing and wider marketing requirements as the organisation evolved.

Long-term support can work well for businesses with an internal marketing team that needs reliable external help over time, whether that means maintaining and developing websites, supporting campaigns or providing additional production capacity when required.
